Tool-based quality assurance

Mar 13, 2019 9:00:00 AM - 5:00:00 PM

In this course you’ll learn the most important functions of SDL Trados Studio allowing you to perform all steps in completing a translation job: creating projects, translating files, creating translation memories as well as generating target files.
Then we’ll have a closer look at TM and project management settings. With the help of fields and filters, for example, you can “control” how your files will be analysed and pre-translated. We’ll also discuss project packages for vendors and templates, how to edit segmentation rules, or pseudo-translations.
Finally we’ll talk about the “translation – review – sign-off” cycle in Trados Studio, including useful features such as RetroFit or Bilingual Review. The quality assurance options discussed – QA Checker 3.0, Terminology Verifier and Translation Quality Assessment – might also come in handy when translating software help and documentation.
This course is intended as a hands-on training. Therefore, many exercises are included in this seminar
